August Hall is an historic venue operating in downtown SF.
A vehicle (or access to a vehicle) is mandatory for this position, mostly for your own sanity. The ideal applicant will have a strong background and passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Able to purchase, manage and display all necessary items for artist or client needs & requests;
Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of all backstage areas. Responsible for end of show breakdown & reset;
Assist Production Manager in ensuring ease of access through the venue for all artists/performers/clients;
Assist in developing any decor adjustments;
Maintain inventory & ownership of all backstage items and equipment;
Additional responsibilities as needed or assigned by the General Manager, Operations Manager, or Show Managers.
Being respectful and thoughtful in your interactions with our artists, representatives and patrons, as well as other staff members.
Job Requirements :
Prior experience in live event production preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Please consider applying if you have a solid background in hospitality or a DIY mentality.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to make clear concise decisions; sometimes with limited information
Must possess good interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Must be able to conduct oneself with extreme patience while working in a stressful environment
Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
High School Diploma
Must have a valid CA Driver's License. Must have a vehicle.
Physical demands/Working environment:
Must be able to lift 75lbs
Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level
