Seeking a General Manager to run our operations for a popular well established restaurant in downtown Santa Cruz

Duties include:

-Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment, maintaining outstanding standards, and solid product knowledge

-Responsible for oversight of the Front of the House (FOH) dining operations including being the point of contact for group/special events and customer service.

- Hiring, ongoing training and supervision of FOH staff to ensure professional and customer-centric behavior.

-Ensure an efficient work environment by managing customer and employee complaints, and modifying, creating and/or enforcing procedures

-Maintenance of FOH schedules ensuring full coverage for all shifts, particularly during peak periods/group events, including the administration of 7Shifts scheduling platform.

- Handling of Toast POS system, cash drawers, and tipping out procedures.

- Oversight of OpenTable reservations platform to ensure appropriate seating.

- Maintenance & inventory of front of house (FOH) supplies.

- Upkeep of health, safety and sanitation standards.

- Opening and closing duties

- Management of FOH team and partnering with back of house (BOH) manager to provide a seamless customer experience

Job specifications:

-At least 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with previous managerial experience preferred

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor

-A passion for hospitality and a genuine desire to create memorable experiences for customers

-Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver outstanding results

-Proficiency in inventory management and basic accounting principles including overseeing ordering and procurement of supplies, managing vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing

-Knowledge of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to upholding standards of cleanliness and sanitation

-Flexible schedule, including availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
