Position Overview: The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the floor, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both customers and staff. This position involves managing a team, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the floor, handling customer concerns, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management: Supervise, train, and motivate floor staff to ensure optimal performance. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure staff are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Operations Management: Monitor the flow of operations on the floor, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Oversee stock levels and manage floor displays or merchandise.
Quality Control: Ensure the floor is kept clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Ensure all health and safety standards are being met.
Sales Performance: Collaborate with management to develop strategies to drive sales and enhance floor performance. Support staff in achieving sales targets.
Conflict Resolution: Mediate any conflicts between staff members or between customers and staff. Ensure that any issues are resolved quickly and professionally.
Reporting: Maintain reports on daily activities, including sales, inventory, staff performance, and customer feedback. Provide feedback to management for improvements.
Scheduling: Create and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours while considering staff availability and company needs.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Training & Development: Continuously assess the skills of floor staff and provide training and development opportunities as needed to ensure a high level of competence.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Floor Manager, Shift Supervisor, or in a similar managerial role.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
Basic knowledge of inventory management, sales, and customer service.
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or a degree in hospitality, business, or a related field is a plus.
