the girl & the fig is opening a new concept in Glen Ellen and currently seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our team.
We are a restaurant group with multiple locations in the Sonoma Valley, which includes the girl & the fig in Sonoma, the girl & the fig CATERS!, Suite D, and our FIGfood product line. Our Supervisors oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including guest service and supervision of staff.

A Typical Day Includes
Ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
Ensuring that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
Achieving company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
Controlling cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
Making employment and termination decisions consistent with General Manager guidelines for approval or review
Filling in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
Striving to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development
Preparing all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner
Ensuring that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs
Ensuring that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures
Being knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures
This Job Requires
Ability to provide or complete Food Safety Manager certification and renew as necessary
Ability to provide or complete Responsible Beverage Service certification and renew as necessary
Knowledge of service, food, and beverage, generally involving at least three years of FOH operations or assistant management positions
Basic math skills and the ability to operate a cash register or POS system
Physical Demands
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Must have the stamina to work 30 to 40 hours per week
Job Details
Part-time or full-time position
Hourly wage for this position is $25-$50
Starting wage is dependent on experience and qualifications
