Carpo's is an award winning restaurant that has been providing Santa Cruz County residents with fresh, high quality food at the best possible price for over 40 years.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will have excellent culinary skills and a strong background in food service and team management, with the ability to create a positive dining experience for our guests. This role requires excellent leadership skills, a keen understanding of budgeting, and the ability to supervise both front-of-house and back-of-house staff effectively.

Responsibilities

Manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and service.

Supervise and train staff, including cooks, cashiers, dishwashers to maintain exceptional service levels.

Oversee budgeting processes, including cost control and inventory management.

Conduct interviews and hire new team members as needed.

Implement effective shift management practices to ensure smooth service during peak hours.

Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues or complaints promptly.

Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop menu items that align with customer preferences and seasonal availability.

Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a restaurant management role or similar position within the food service industry.

Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.

Experience in budgeting and financial management within a restaurant setting.

Ability to supervise multiple areas of the restaurant simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.

Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.

Bi-lingual in Spanish
