Experienced Restaurant Servers needed for By the Teashore, part-time Wednesday/Thursday/Friday, 8am-4pm!
By the Teashore is a brand new breakfast, lunch, and high tea restaurant located at 724 Main Street in Half Moon Bay! (Experience in a tea house specifically is not necessary - we can teach you about teas.)
We’re looking for p/t servers who genuinely care about the customer’s experience! Here is the job description:
Customer Service:
Greeting guests upon seating: Ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Taking accurate food and beverage orders: Communicating needs to the kitchen via Square handheld device (experience with Square a plus, but will provide training).
Delivering food and beverages promptly: Ensuring guests receive their orders efficiently.
Providing exceptional service: Anticipating guest needs, addressing inquiries, and handling complaints professionally, or advising the owner of any issues to be handled promptly.
Ensuring customer satisfaction: Checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
Beverage Service:
Preparing and serving tea and other beverages: We can easily teach you about different tea types and brewing methods.
Maintaining the Environment:
Maintaining a clean and organized dining area: Ensuring tables are set, spaces are tidy, and the environment is pleasant.
Assisting with cleaning duties: Cleaning work areas and other items throughout the day. (This is a small, beautiful restaurant, so it will be easy.)
Other Responsibilities:
Handling cash and credit card transactions: Ensuring accurate payment processing via Square. (If you haven’t used Square, we can train you.)
Hourly rate: $18-20/hour (depending on experience) and no tip sharing/pooling - you keep the tips you earn!
