CCCYO Camp and Retreat Center offers residential camping adventures and retreat opportunities to youth and adults year round. CCCYO Camp and Retreat Center reaches out to people of all backgrounds throughout the greater Bay Area including the most economically impacted and underserved urban areas.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Committed to the mission of Catholic Charities of San Francisco and be able to implement this mission through all camp programs and interpret this mission and purpose to our guests.
Proficient knowledge in food handling and preparation.
Valid and current Food Handler's card.
Experience in culinary fields or catering. Typical service ranges between 50-250 clients per meal served buffet style with up to three meals a day.
Ability to work independently or within a team as duties and responsibilities require.
Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen area.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies and communicate to management.
Strong understanding of dietary restrictions; ensuring safe preparation and service for clients.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment for food preparation.
Demonstrates the necessary attitudes, knowledge and skills to deliver culturally competent services and work
Work Environment:
The work environment is located in an outdoor, rustic environment of redwood forest in a close quartered community environment and uneven forest terrain.
The worker is subject to noise: Noise level in work environment can be moderate to excessive.
The work environment will include children ages 8 to 17 years old.
The worker will be handling a variety of raw ingredients and potential allergens. (CCCYO Camp is a Nut-Free Facility)
The worker is subject to high and low temperatures.
The work environment may include driving an agency vehicle.
The worker is occasionally exposed to cleaning products.
Availability:
Flexible Hours including: mornings, nights, & weekends.
Compensation:
$20-24/Hour depending on skills and availability.
Post interview a flat rate paid stage will be scheduled, prior to final employment offer.
