We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at The Lake Chalet in Oakland, California. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, maximizing profitability, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a proven track record in restaurant management, and a passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily restaurant operations, including scheduling, inventory, and compliance.
Recruit, train, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service.
Provide a customer-centric experience, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with the General Manager on financial management and budgeting.
Maintain high-quality standards for food, beverage, and presentation.
Manage vendor relationships and optimize inventory control.
Ensure a positive work environment and foster professional growth.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Proven track record in successfully managing a diverse team and achieving operational targets.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including health and safety regulations.
Proficient in financial management and analysis.
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
Familiarity with Oakland, California, and its local dining scene is a plus.
