Gold Palm is a new bar and restaurant in Uptown Oakland, just steps from The Fox Theater. Our small, but focused menu consists of Pakistani-inspired small plates along with a couple of salads and a few heartier dishes. We pride ourselves on using high-quality ingredients and running a very clean, organized and efficient kitchen.
We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our team. Preferably someone who wants to grow with us, with potential opportunity to for more hours/responsibility. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Preparing and cooking menu items to the Chef's standards
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness at your station and in the kitchen as a whole
- Following food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Following the direction of the Chef and Kitchen Manager
- End of shift cleaning tasks
Key requirements:
- Experience cooking at various stations on the line in a fast-paced commercial kitchen
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques for meats, vegetables, etc.
- Strong knife skills
- Attention to detail in all tasks
- Teamwork
- Positive attitude & a good sense of humor
- Weeknight and weekend availability
- Punctuality
