Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in expediting training for seasonal specials and catering options.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety guidelines.
Utilize proper knife skills for food preparation, ensuring efficiency and precision.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages.
Participate in catering events as needed, providing high-quality food service.
Assist in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
Previous experience as a cook or in a culinary role within a restaurant or fine dining establishment is preferred.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, including knives and cooking appliances.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Experience in menu planning or working within a dietary department is a plus.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
