Little Sky Kitchen is a home-style delicatessen and food hall with locations in Menlo Park and the Arc Institute. We began making sourdough bread out of a single dutch oven, and since then have expanded our product line to include a variety of naturally leavened breads, baked goods and prepared foods. Position description:
We are looking for a coffee and food enthusiast with deep barista experience to help us launch a full coffee program in our new Little Sky Kitchen locations and oversee service standards on a day-to-day basis. This job has many perks — free food; a delightful, highly collegial work environment; generous tips! This job requires full availability, including weekends, but may be either full or part time.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting to build out a coffee program from scratch, including collaborating with management to create recipes, determine product needs and procure equipment.
Assist in training staff on coffee making techniques, procedures and best practices.
Lead the day-to-day setup of all Little Sky Kitchen operations and ensure all standards are met— some bending and lifting required.
Ensure all service standards are met throughout the shift.
Serve as a "tour guide/travel agent": informing and exciting customers about our products and introducing them to the dishes best suited to their needs and desires.
Prepare a variety of coffees for customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
Restock products throughout the shift, and ensuring that products are displayed in a clean, clear, attractive fashion.
Record sellout times, take down leftovers, and report personal observations; generally ensure all closing procedures are complete and in-line with standards.
Cleanup at the end of the day.

The starting wage for this role is $21/hr, but with tips, sales staff regularly make $25-$45 per hour.
