Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Service
Handle order accuracy issues. Calling doordash, uber eats, grubhub and checking the tablets.
Verify kitchen tickets for accuracy reprint and identify duplicates as needed
Deal with customer complaints, for incorrect or missing items. Understand when to refire and when to refund
Keeping others on task and checking sidework.
Assist in training New Hires
Assist with Bar Inventory
Know how to silence and reset fire alarms as well as how to contact the alarm company.
Maintain 86 list
Assist with covering FOH shifts as needed
Notify Management of repairs in the restaurant and behind the bar that are necessary
Assist with the general cleanliness of the restaurant. Sweeping under tables, maintaining bathroom
Opening
Re-enable items that are back in-stock, notify the team of 86’d items
Assess the close and evaluate things that we as a team can improve upon.
Bring in garbage cans before service starts.
Assist others with their roles, TV covers, heaters, generally breakable or up high.
Closing
Split the cash tips with the FOH Staff
Use the shift log to communicate useful information.
Run the 86 report. See if anything that’s been 86’d can be put back in stock, or that something you know we are out of is marked.
Make shift cuts as needed to uphold Labor Cost Targets
Make Sure recycling bins are taken out to the street.
Make sure that all of the handhelds are docked for the night
Check stove pilots are all on before turning out lights to leave.
Turn off all toast screens
Ensure BoH and FoH dishwashers are drained and empty
turn out lights, lockup, and set alarm!
Punctuality.
When someone is late, write it down and text the manager who will be covering the floor. Include all relevant information, such as if they answered when you attempted to contact them.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Regular and consistent attendance and the ability to sit and work with hands and arms for at least eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week.
Physical ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, walk, crawl, push and pull items weighing up to 20 pounds.
Stand and move throughout the office.
Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills in English.
Interpret and follow a variety of instructions and procedures furnished in English - written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work under pressure with changing, ambiguous priorities.
Communicate effectively and promptly to clients, vendors, or employees of the organization.
High level of manual dexterity to adeptly type and use computer equipment.
Auditory and visual skills – Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work overtime occasionally at the last minute.
Restaurant Specific
Continuous physical activity including walking, standing, twisting, sitting, bending, lifting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, crawling, wiping, climbing, pushing, and pulling items weighing 40 pounds for distances of up to 20 ft.
Ability to perform moderately strenuous physical work and withstand temperatures of 0 degrees Fahrenheit or less and 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more.
Be able to adeptly use restaurant equipment.
Perform basic math and fractions to complete recipes.
Understand and respond to staff and customer requests in a loud environment.
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
The employee will be expected to work 30 hours weekly and must be available and onsite weekends. Under usual course of business, the Lead Bartender will be onsite 5 days per week.
