Companion Bakeshop is hiring a manager for our Lamination Kitchen.
Job Summary:
Properly execute all aspects of Companion’s laminated dough product including production, personnel management, ordering, quality control, service & maintenance of all equipment and tools, as well as execute all necessary cleaning and kitchen organizational tasks.
Activities & Responsibilities:
-Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Companion Bakeshop.
-Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge to promote the culture, values, and mission of Companion Bakeshop.
-Comfortable modeling and upholding expectations on punctuality on all shifts
-Comfortable directing others in an appropriate and effective manner
-Knowledge of Companion product
-Comfortable modeling and managing all strict workplace food safety protocols
-Work 4+ days per week
-Effectively work with the Scheduling Manager to ensure your team is scheduled efficiently
-Great time management skills
-Shifts will be at a time that encompasses your entire team daily to ensure oversight on all shifts and check-ins with each staff member on your team
-Have an inquisitive attitude and strong communication skills and comfortability interacting with co-management and staff across the board at Companion
-Maximize efficiency in all areas of laminated dough production and uphold proper time management with all employees
-Manage / lead breaks
-Availability for all-hands-on-deck during the Holidays (November & December most importantly - leadership teams at Companion during all Holidays will be directed by Owner & GM)
-Effective oral and written communication skills: Ability to pass on information efficiently to staff when received from Owner/GM
-Promote and uphold expected communication daily/weekly on the Company’s Schedule & Communication app
-Flexibility in mindset and attitude, and a desire to learn and grow with Companion

Compensation: $25/hour starting + tips (approx $2/hr)
As a manager you are expected to work at least 4+ days a week and when necessary overtime as required. Overtime pay is paid at time and a half for any time worked over 8 hours in a day.
All overtime must be approved by a GM or owner.

Vacation Pay:
Eligible below based on time served in the position of Manager.
All vacation requests must be approved in advance by Owner or GM. Vacation time offered expires if not used, and starts fresh each year, it can not be rolled over at the new year if it is not used.
1 Year of service 5 days (1wk) paid vacation time
2 years + of service 10 days (2wks) paid vacation time/year
Sick Pay:
Companion Bakeshop pays up to 40 hours per year for paid sick time to be used while recovering from illness or caring for someone who is sick.
Health Care Stipend: Companion is happy to offer you a starting amount of $150 monthly health stipend. The stipend is paid out by biweekly through payroll.
