ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a self-motivated, warm and hard-working junior production lead committed to our mission of delivering the best quality products.
This position will spend most of their time on the production floor. You will have several direct and indirect reports. You will report to the Operations Manager and the owner of the company.
Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to;
- Work alongside/lead 5-6 production crews
- Communicate with an operation manager planning for daily production schedule.
- Plan, schedule, and delegate daily production assignments to appropriate crews
- Execute our product recipes with team members, paying close attention to batch size.
- Document of food safety logs (Production log, sanitation, sodium level, ingredient trackingetc)
- Make sure production crews keep up with daily logs (temperature, sanitationetc)
- Ensure production lines are kept running and are completed within specified timeframes.
- Wash and sanitize equipment and appliances daily according to the manuals
- Maintain and enforce high food safety standards at all times.
- Report Ingredient inventory weekly and any other maintenance requirement from pro-duction side
- Assist and maintain document requirements for our various facility and product certi-fication (USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project, 3rd pary inspectionetc)
- Train and orient new employees
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent experience. Some previous experience with Supervised food production or manufacturing for 1+ year would be helpful.
Language Ability:
Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing. Able to read and comprehend recipes and basic instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Conversational Spanish.
Math Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
Physical Demands:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push, pull, squat, bend, and reach about and below shoulders. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, walk and taste or smell. Ability to spend full 8 hours of day on a production floor
Working Hours
This is a full-time position. Working hours : Mo - Fr (7am- 3pm)
Must be open to weekend and overtime work as required

Status: Full Time, Non Exempt
