Who We Are: We’re Daytrip Counter! A bold, flavor-maximalist restaurant bringing creative, everyday food to the East Bay. We're building a scalable model that keeps the quality you know and love from Daytrip, but with a more accessible price point and a faster service style (counter service). The doors are opening soon, and we need a team that's excited to be a part of something special from the ground up!

We’re hiring people to join all positions, including:
- Dishwashers
- Cooks/Back of House
- Cashiers
These positions will be integral to our success as we open our doors to the public, and we’re looking for individuals who are eager to grow with us.
We believe in flexibility—so no matter your role, you’ll be jumping in to help wherever needed. Whether it’s running food, cleaning dishes, or assisting with side work, our team thrives on supporting one another in every corner of the house. No one is ‘above’ any role here, and that’s how we like it!
Start Date: We’re still finalizing some details and hope to launch in about a month (early-to-mid March), though the exact start date is TBD. We’ll also build in a few days of training before our soft open. We’re doing our best to get things off the ground as quickly as possible and need team members who can stay flexible as we finalize everything.
Pay & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $18-23/hr depending on experience and role, plus tips
Tip Pool: Tips are pooled equally among the team (excluding management), and distributed based on hours worked over a two-week pay period. Although we haven't opened yet, we expect around an additional $3-7/hr in tips on average.

The Role:
- Dishwashers will be responsible for keeping the small and medium wares in the restaurant clean and organized, ensuring dishes and utensils are cleaned promptly for use and the dish pit is deep cleaned thoroughly and regularly.
- Cooks will be responsible for preparing and executing menu items with care and following our protocols, they will maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, and follow all food safety guidelines.
- Front-of-house position (cashiers) will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring all pick up and delivery orders get distributed with accuracy.

- Able to lift 50 pounds, be comfortable bending, stretching, climb ladders, and do other physical work

Ideal Candidates:
- Previous restaurant experience is a big plus but not necessarily required for every role.
- A strong work ethic and eagerness to contribute to a new, growing team.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a high-energy environment.
