We are currently seeking experienced sushi chefs to join our team to work and grow in a dedicated and fun environment. The essential functions are:
- knowledge of cutting and preparing fish, meat, vegetables and sauce
- Continually check the quality of raw and cooked products
- Keeping work stations up to sanitation and safety standards
- Positively interact with customers - Must be responsible, reliable and able to work under pressure
- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Clear communication, problem solving, prioritization, and organization skills
- Desire to learn and grow
For a Manager and server we are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and eager to provide the best service for our customers
- Able to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Dependable and able to commit to their schedule
- Familiar with sushi and Japanese cuisine
-Knowledgeable about sake and wine
- Have experience working in the fine dining restaurant industry
Position type and Expected Hours of Work :
Full-time and Part-time. This position requires a flexible schedule with holiday, weekend and evening work.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to stand long periods of time standing, walking, bending and constant movement.
Ability to carry at least 50 pounds within short distances.
Ability to use knives, machinery, specialized equipment and know how to thoroughly sanitize pots and pans, storage vessels and utensils.
