Buck’s Place is a family-owned and operated restaurant and bar located in Sonoma Valley. Buck’s menu focuses on Italian/local wines, local beer, craft cocktails, seasonally driven pizza, salumi, salads, and desserts focusing on small farmers and artisanal made ingredients. Located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, Buck’s is housed in building built in 1906 featuring a large outdoor patio, dance hall, and full bar. Our bar serves craft cocktails and local beer with an emphasis on natural wine. Buck’s will have live music and fast paced vibrant atmosphere. We strive to be a member of the local community with a focus on hospitality and inclusivity.
Our ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and is able to manage staff in a professional and approachable fashion. We are looking for thoughtful individuals and have a genuine love for hospitality, customers, food, and staff. Must have strong leadership skills and take pride in their work.
We are looking for a full or part time assistant/shift manager to help with the day to day operations of the restaurant. The role includes but is not limited to
- overseeing the expediting of orders
- customer satisfaction
- consistent service and food operations
- addressing issues/questions with staff and guests
- maintaining quality control
- overseeing closing of restaurant, servers, kitchen - all items are clean and safely stored
Position demands
- must be able to stand for long periods of time
- provide or complete food safety manager certification
- Responsible beverage service certification
- POS knowledge
- Work evenings & weekends
