From the Back Home Hospitality team that brought Che Fico and Che Fico Pizzeria to San Francisco, comes a new Che Fico location in Menlo Park! Bubbeleh is featured in the Springline development and is a 4,500-square-foot Mediterranean Fast Casual Restaurant with Che Fico’s signature style applied The location will feature a walk-up gelato window on El Camino Real, where freshly spun flavors are available every day. We will also showcase the highly successful Che Fico line of consumer-packaged goods, including sauces, condiments, fresh pastas, salumi, and more.Bubbeleh will have a robust catering program that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner options for everything from small celebrations to work lunches to big parties.

The Position:

Candidates should be outgoing, positive, and have a strong kitchen background and food service, as well as a passion for learning and growth. We are seeking a candidate that has experience running all aspects of a kitchen. They should provide exceptional guest experiences and continually strive to exceed guests' expectations with every opportunity.

We are looking for a strong leader who can provide continual guidance and coaching to our team.

The Sous Chef will be responsible for educating the team on new and current recipes, the production of recipes, providing support in the kitchen, upholding and elevating our service standards, and providing strong communication with the retail team to provide exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prepared food production, in-house soups, stocks and dressings, catering production, ordering, inventory management, catering, culinary operations, and team management

Assisting the Kitchen Manager to create and implement effective recipes and catering menus to increase store revenue and profitability

Manage and train team, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations

Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are and rotated correctly with virtually zero waste

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including food safety standards

Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers

Assisting the Kitchen Manager to develop and maintain budgets, financial reports, and manage P&L for profitability and revenue goals

For the role of Sous Chef we offer:

Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000 based on experience plus bonus opportunities
