About the position
Bookie's Pizza is seeking a dedicated sous chef to join their team, located inside Sante Adarius's Water St. Portal. This role is essential for maintaining the high standards of food quality and service in a fast-paced environment, focusing on Detroit square pies and utilizing local, seasonal ingredients.
Responsibilities
Assist the head chef in food preparation and cooking.
Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently during service.
Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Expedite orders and manage kitchen staff during busy periods.
Contribute to menu development and recipe creation.
Requirements
Advanced knife skills are required.
Experience in a high-volume restaurant environment is necessary.
Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions are essential.
Passion for good food and local ingredients.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and personal accountability are non-negotiable
