Cafe Aquatica is now hiring for all positions. We are looking for enthusiastic, team oriented folks who work well in a face paced environment where the picturesque Russian River runs into the Pacific on Hwy. 1 in Jenner Ca.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos
- Take customer orders and process payments using a cash register or POS system
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including the counter, seating areas, and kitchen area.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and freshness of food and beverage products
- Operate coffee brewing equipment and other kitchen appliances
- Prepare and serve food items, such as pastries, salads, and sandwiches
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and monitoring product expiration dates
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso-based beverages,
- Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating customer orders
- Proficient in operating a cash register or POS system
- Sales skills to upsell products and promote specials
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Attention to detail for accurately preparing beverages according to customer preferences
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with coworkers
