Mayacama Golf Club, a premier private golf community in Santa Rosa, is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our Grounds Department team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing day-to-day golf course maintenance operations to ensure exceptional playing conditions.
Coordinate and adjust irrigation needs using a computerized system and weather data.
Supervise, train, and lead a team of 15–20 grounds crew members.
Support inventory control for irrigation parts, fertilizers, tools, and turf supplies.
Maintain accurate records for pesticide and fertilizer applications.
Act as Superintendent in their absence.

Hands-on knowledge of golf course equipment and turf practices.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of golf course maintenance experience, including irrigation systems.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Valid California Driver’s License.
California Qualified Applicator Certificate (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
Work Environment:
Outdoor role with exposure to varying weather conditions. Must be comfortable with physical tasks including lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
