Purpose (Why the role exists):

We are seeking an experienced and passionate General Manager to lead the operations of Arandas. This is a unique opportunity for a hospitality leader with a deep understanding of high-volume, high-end restaurant environments and a love for authentic, elevated Mexican cuisine.The GM will oversee the daily operations of the restaurant and bar programs, manage a talented team, and create a seamless and memorable experience for every guest. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, charismatic, flexible, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where quality, energy, and consistency are key.

Core Tasks (What you are responsible for):

This role will involve a variety of tasks, with your primary responsibilities outlined below

Lead and manage daily front-of-house operations across Arandas and both bar programs.

Collaborate with the culinary and beverage teams to ensure smooth execution of service and programming.

Maintain high standards of guest service, ensuring a luxury experience from arrival to departure.

Oversee all bar programming, with a particular focus on the elevated cocktail experience at The Bar at 27 North.

Plan and execute live music and DJ events on the patio in coordination with the events team.

Hire, train, and mentor front-of-house staff; foster a positive, performance-driven culture.

Manage scheduling, labor controls, and service flow to ensure efficiency during peak hours.

Work closely with the hotel’s leadership to align brand vision, service standards, and guest experience.

Maintain a strong presence during service hours and special events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Execute monthly inventory programs.

Skills & Qualifications (What you need to bring):

3–5+ years of experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a high-end, high-volume restaurant.

Proven experience managing dual bar programs with an emphasis on craft cocktails and agave spirits.

Deep understanding and appreciation of elevated Mexican cuisine and agave spirits.

Experience planning and executing live music and DJ programming.

Flexibility in schedule—including nights, weekends, and holidays—is essential.

Work Environment:

This position will require a mix of office-based work.

Physical Requirements:

Standing and Walking: Frequently on their feet for extended periods, supervising operations, interacting with staff, and engaging with customers throughout the restaurant.

Lifting and Carrying: May need to lift or move items such as supplies, equipment, or products. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and carrying products weighing up to 60 pounds.

Reaching and Bending: This role may involve reaching for items on shelves or in storage areas and bending or stooping to pick up dropped objects or perform cleaning tasks.

Manual Dexterity: Utilize hands for various tasks, including handling tools, operating equipment, and using registers.
