Part-Time Personal/Home Assistant for Startup Co-Founders in San Francisco
We are two hard-working and passionate female executives running a technology startup in San Francisco. We are in search of a fantastic part-time Personal Assistant who can help us better manage our personal lives.
SCHEDULE: Part-time, 2 dedicated days per week (e.g., Thursdays and Fridays), with 1 day dedicated to each person on most weeks.
COMPENSATION: DOE
LOCATION: based out of our homes in San Francisco. Likely 1 day in Russian Hill neighborhood, and 1 day in Pacific Heights neighborhood per week.
TIMEFRAME: We’d like to start with a 3 month commitment to try out working together. However, our goal is to have a long term, trusted & happy working relationship! We will likely have an opportunity to evolve into a full-time Personal Assistant or Home Manager role over time, should that be interesting to you!
The ideal candidate for this role is highly organized, extremely reliable, and finds satisfaction in anticipating the needs of others and helping things run smoothly. He or she is comfortable cleaning and organizing, running errands, and cooking. Bonus if you love dogs as well!
If organizing someone’s pantry sounds like a good time to you, you could be a good fit.
EXAMPLE TASKS:
Doing laundry
Organizing and tidying around the house
Changing light bulbs
Doing local errands and restocking the home with paper towels, flowers, or groceries
Packing and shipping packages
Picking up prescriptions
Meal prep / some light cooking
Doing dishes
Watering the plants
Making reservations or appointments
Scheduling and overseeing other service providers (for example, an appliance person, a gardener, a handyman)
Personal shopping tasks (e.g., “help me find a nice charcuterie board for a dinner party”, “help me find a good birthday present for a 4 year old girl”)
Walking the dogs or taking them to vet and grooming appointments
The job is active, but should not be physically demanding. You should be comfortable carrying packages, setting up a ladder, and driving. If you do not have a car, you may use mine as needed.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience working as a Nanny, Household Manager, or Personal Assistant. We consider domestic work (e.g., homemaker or “stay at home parent”) to be excellent relevant previous work experience!
Strong organization and attention to detail. You LOVE organizing.
Super consistent with follow-through. You always do what you say you’re going to do.
Reliable, professional, and worthy of trust. Treats confidential information with discretion.
Finds joy from tackling home projects
Some light cooking experience - nothing fancy!
Can anticipate needs and exercise judgment regarding priorities
Kind, honest, and respectful
Driver’s license and clean driving record
No recent criminal history
