Job Title: House Manager
Location: Piedmont, California
Hours: 10-20 hours/week
Compensation: $40-50/hour based on experience
About Us:
We are a married couple with three adult children who have recently become empty nesters. We’re seeking a dedicated House Manager to help us manage our household efficiently as we navigate our busy schedules.
Position Summary:
The House Manager will be responsible for the overall upkeep and organization of our home. This pivotal role involves not only managing household tasks but also supporting us in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Household Management:
Appliance maintenance according to a shared Google Calendar schedule.
Keeping house supplies stocked and checking inventory regularly (e.g., toilet paper, cleaning supplies).
Following up with vendors for various services and repairs.
Taking out trash and recycling when required
Errands and Miscellaneous Tasks:
Running errands such as dry cleaning, shopping, and picking up prescriptions.
Making beds and cleaning the kitchen to ensure a tidy environment.
Preparing for guests and events, including most Fridays and occasional weekend parties (serving, setup, and cleanup).
Pet Care:
Managing care for our dog, Jinx, including appointments, grooming and dog walking.
Housesitting and dogsitting as needed.
Culinary Support:
Acting as a sous chef for meal prep and planning alongside the family.
Laundry and Maintenance:
Handling laundry tasks.
Performing minor repairs and upkeep around the home.
Regularly checking Eufy and Ring camera batteries to ensure proper operation.

The ideal candidate will be calm, confident, and professional. They will have integrity, excellent organizational skills, quick thinking abilities, and a service-oriented mindset. They should exhibit initiative, multitasking capabilities, and excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and address family needs effectively.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in household or property management.
Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
Ability to work independently and proactively manage tasks.
Must have reliable transportation and experience with minor repairs.
Dog lover with experience in pet care.
Non-smoker with a clean background and DMV check.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position starts at 20 hours/week, with 8 hours required on Fridays during the workday and occasional weekend hours. Additional hours may be flexible based on appointments with contractors and events. The best candidate will need to pass an in-person pre-screening interview, background check, reference check, and must be tobacco and drug-free.
Salary and benefits include two weeks of paid time off, sick days, and continued pay during family absences.
