Senior Project Manager

Forensic Architecture, Litigation support, and Building Inspection Firm is searching for a well-qualified individual to become part of our team. We are a small architectural firm located in Marin County, California that has been in business for over 25 years.

We specialize in construction defect investigations and litigation support in high-end single family, multi-family, and mixed-use low-rise buildings in a vast array of project types and sizes ranging throughout the greater Bay Area, Southern California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, and Hawaii.

Our new team member must have these qualifications, and be capable of the following:

§ Highly motivated, self-disciplined and detail oriented.

§ Excellent written and oral skills for coordination with consultants and government agencies.

§ Experience in architecture / construction trades and understanding of building assemblies.

§ High proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office and other related computer skills.

§ Well versed in residential and/or commercial construction detailing and experienced with building code application, inspection, and interpretation.

§ Attending internal and external project meetings (many on Zoom) in order to take meeting notes and produce meeting memos/minutes, which are to be distributed to the client project team as part of good project documentation practices.

§ Report writing, including attending preliminary meetings to gather information about the project, as well as reviewing project drawings and other documents, which are relevant and pertinent to drafting the report.

§ Conducting site inspections and destructive investigations to determine as-built conditions and compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes (approximately 50% of each month).

§ Willingness to travel in and out of state for projects.

Candidates must possess the following experience:

§ A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction

Management, or an associated field, or similar relevant work experience, and/or proven experience in the construction field as a project manager.

§ Solid knowledge and understanding of architecture and construction fields.

§ Experience with architectural or engineering construction drawings is a must.

§ Experience with building envelope, roofing, waterproofing, renovation and restoration expertise.

§ Technical architecture expertise.

§ Professional licensed preferred.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract as a Independent Consultant

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
