Senior Land Surveyor - Project Manager

Adobe Associates, Inc. is a prominent civil engineering and land surveying firm located in the heart of Sonoma County. Our company has been surveying in the Northbay region for over 42 years and we are looking for an experienced land surveyor to join our team. Help us provide quality surveying services for our clients! The ideal candidate will have land surveying experience (5+ years & management experience), and be proficient in all aspects of land surveying, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, ALTA/ACSM surveys, and more. The candidate will also prepare and submit survey reports and work with clients to meet their needs.

What makes a Qualified Candidate:

Licensed in the State of California as a Professional Land Surveyor (or at minimum currently seeking licensure).

Familiar working in Sonoma, Marin, and Napa County

5+ years of management experience – especially with multiple crews

Experience in fieldwork, field procedures, & current application of equipment used today.

Experience with Topographic Mapping, Records of Survey, ALTA’s, Subdivision Maps and processes, Lot Line Adjustments, Construction Staking and Calculations, Legal Descriptions for LLA’s, easements, PG&E, Leases, and more.

Understanding the basic functions of processing projects.

Experienced with AutoCAD/Civil 3D & strong understanding of points, surfaces, and corridors.

Strong background in construction layout and the ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines, whether internal to Adobe or external.

Strong written and verbal communication skills – coordinating with clients and consultants and working internally with other departments such as wastewater, civil engineering, and permitting.

Enthusiastic with an upbeat attitude and willingness to go above and beyond for clients and projects.

Responsibilities include:

Preparing Records of Survey, LLA’s, Certificates of Compliance, Subdivisions, and others.

Performing field work as needed – surveys, staking, site visits, and managing and overseeing surveys.

Prepare and submit survey reports

Preparing proposals & Service Agreements for potential clients

Work with clients to ensure that their needs are met

Stay up-to-date on the latest land surveying regulations and standards

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records

Other survey-related duties as directed by management

Compensation and Benefits:

Competitive salary and benefits package:

PLS with a degree in surveying or related field: $110,000 – $150,000

(Must have experience managing complex projects with a demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders on project teams; 5+ years’ experience preferred.)
