Construction Management firm based in Benicia is looking to add to our project management team as we expand. The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the company in various aspects such as: Assisting project Management team with the successful completion of multiple projects from the investigative phase through final completion. This position is based in Benicia, and
requires travel to project sites typically from South Bay to East Bay. This is a great opportunity for entry level engineering / construction management graduates who will learn design and construction operations. We are a small and fun company that values our team members.
Responsibilities
-Assisting Project Managers and project team with project oversight, project documentation and communications
-Assist with project site visits with project team members
-Provide administrative support to project management team
-Meeting notes/minutes production
-Travel to jobsites as needed throughout the East Bay and South Bay
-Assist with project inspections, field reports, project weekly updates
-Review project plans and ensure contractor compliance
-Document punch list work
-Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or closely related filed.
-Valid California Driver’s License.
- 0-2 years construction experience.
-Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
-Strong Command of the English language. Able to communicate in Spanish is a plus
-Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal.
- Use ladders and walk on scaffold as needed
-Must be able to work independently as well as thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, team environment.
-Timeliness, accuracy, and clarity in producing required reports.
-Leadership skills.
