Salary: $30.29 - $36.02/hr; Range 68; (5 Steps; Maximum reached in 3.5 years)
Under supervision, Paraeducator to assist certificated staff with the supervision and training of hearing-impaired students; to interpret for teachers, administrators, parents and students as needed; and to perform other job-related duties as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
Two Letters of Recommendation
Documentation of passing the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Examination or
48 semester units or equivalent to an Associate of Arts degree or higher.
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Education:
Equivalent to graduation from high school.
Desirable:
supplemented by college-level courses in American Sign Language, interpreting, transliterating, special education, psychology or child development.
Experience:
Required: Equivalent of one school year of experience working with Special Education Students in an academic, social, emotional or functional instructional environment.
