Do you love dancing and feel inspired to share your love of ballet or modern with young students? I am looking to hire someone who can come once a week to start - day is flexible, 1 to 3 classes. I will pay you to train with me in my specific pedagogy and help you develop your own syllabus by September, unless you are ready to dive into running your own class sooner. My school has about 100 students with a long waitlist, the community is wonderful and magical - and we are looking to add another teacher to be part of our mission to change the toxic history of ballet and replace it with a generation of girls who grow up loving their bodies, and knowing themselves better because of their time spent dancing. Excellent understanding of ballet required.
We are a blossoming dance school inspired by Marie Morrow’s career performing modern dance in New York City and teaching Royal Academy of Dance in Brooklyn for 10+ years. The philosophy of West Hills Ballet is focused on creativity and artistic exploration to music, getting to know oneself better, and moving in community while still learning proper alignment and strong technique. It is our goal to prioritize joy over competition. Humans have danced together since before the development of language and WHB’s mission is to bring the experience of movement to daily life practice, reveling in our own unique artistic voice.
