Seeking a personal aide for my daughter, who is 21 years old and high functioning with autism. May be a good fit for someone who has been a substitute teacher or classroom aide.
The job includes driving to/from San Jose to her college campus in Hayward, so must be comfortable with long commute and have reliable transportation (CA travel mileage reimbursement rate applies); sitting in on classes and helping with tasks like taking notes and helping her set up any supplies or technology; plus outings and at-home/personal help. (Personal help may sometimes include being able to go into a women’s restroom with her.) Interest in art and gaming is a plus, but not required. Position starts on/around August 1.
Compensation: $35/Hour plus mileage reimbursement at CA rate
Employment type: 35-40 hours per week average
Mon-Fri: Daily schedule varies a bit, but mostly falls betweeen 7:30am-6:30pm
This position will be hired through an agency that will be the employer of record. (Must be able to work legally.) The agency has a portal to set up new vendors, submit invoices, etc.
