The New Village School is seeking a creative and dedicated individual to join our expert teaching team as a Lower Grades Class Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. Position Overview:
The Lower Grade Class Teacher is responsible for carrying a class through the year and delivering key aspects of the lower grade curriculum. The role may also include some subject teaching, depending on the candidate’s experience and gifts. Our teachers collaborate closely with colleagues and families to foster an inspiring and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide and carry a lower grade class through daily lessons and activities.
Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
Foster a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians to support each child’s growth.
Participate in school events, festivals, and community gatherings.
Qualifications:
Prior experience teaching in elementary grades (Waldorf/Steiner experience is a preferred).
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
A passion for experiential and nature-based education.
Creativity, warmth, and a collaborative spirit.
