At Maker Studio Kidz we are reimagining education through creative expression, storytelling, art and STEM for future generations of curious creative minds. We are a multi-platform educational company dedicated to inspiring and instilling confidence in kids around the world.

Position Overview:

We are seeking passionate and innovative Creative Art & STEM Teachers to join Maker Studio Kidz. As a Creative Art & STEM Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and hands-on lessons that integrate the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with the creative and expressive elements of the arts. This role involves fostering a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and artistic exploration among students. We are looking to hire teachers for after school programs, holiday camps, and special events for the rest of 2024 and going into 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:

● Design and develop interdisciplinary lesson plans that seamlessly blend STEM concepts with creative arts activities, ensuring alignment with educational standards.

● Integrate project-based learning approaches that allow students to apply STEM principles to real-world artistic projects.

Instruction and Facilitation:

● Deliver dynamic and interactive lessons that inspire curiosity and creativity among students.

● Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

● Foster collaboration, teamwork, and independent thinking through group activities and individual projects.

● Provide guidance and support to students as they engage in hands-on art and STEM projects.

Resource Management:

● Identify and gather the necessary materials, tools, and equipment required for both artistic and scientific aspects of the lessons.

● Ensure the proper and safe use of art supplies, technology, and scientific instruments during class activities.

Assessment and Feedback:

● Provide constructive feedback to students on their creative projects, problem-solving approaches, and overall performance.

Innovation and Integration:

● Stay current with advancements in both STEM fields and creative arts, and infuse the latest trends and technologies into the curriculum.

● Explore opportunities to collaborate with other educators and professionals to enhance the interdisciplinary learning experience.

Classroom Management:

● Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and take risks.

● Enforce classroom rules and safety protocols to ensure a secure learning environment.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM-related field, Fine Arts, or a related discipline. Or relevant experience in STEAM education with kids.

● Teaching certification and/or relevant teaching experience, particularly in integrating arts and STEM subjects.

● Strong passion for both creative arts and STEM fields, with the ability to communicate the significance of their integration to students.

● Excellent communication and presentation skills.

● Proficiency in using technology and various art mediums.

● Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to

meet the needs of diverse learners.
