Join our dynamic and professional team at TumbleSpot, located in scenic Mill Valley at our charming boutique gymnastics studio, offering youth gymnastics and acro in a bright, safe, and professional environment.

We are located conveniently in Mill Valley on beautiful and busy Miller Ave. near to many convenient amenities and accessible within minutes from the Seminary Drive and East Blithedale exits. We are investing in a team that comes to us from all over the Bay Area, representing the North Bay, East Bay, San Francisco, and the Peninsula.

OUR VISION:

Founded in a genuine love for getting kids moving through gymnastics, we provide comprehensive training through our shape based curriculum, and developmentally appropriate practices. Our programs are offered year round through classes, camps, and other special events. Students receive superior training, expand their boundaries, gain valuable skills – all while building friendships and memories. TumbleSpot equips young gymnasts with a well-rounded skill base and the confidence to take on whatever path they choose.

THE POSITION:

This position in particular focuses on teaching within our TumbleSpot recreational programs. TumbleSpot programs are designed for beginner - intermediate students who are building a vocabulary and love of gymnastics and Acro. Candidates should be experienced and enjoy teaching beginning gymnasts ages 3 - 10. Candidates should be well-versed in floor and equipment based skills, skill progressions, and safe spotting techniques, as well as the ability to clean not only their pieces, but others as well.

The position offers 8 - 20 hours of teaching per week with opportunities to take on administrative duties including but not limited to faculty/staff meetings, email responses, planning meetings, clerical work, facilities maintenance, and collaborations with other faculty. Pay rate is hourly and depends on experience.

DESIRED QUALITIES:

-18 years or older

-Relevant experience and training (most importantly) as a gymnastics coach. Previous and continued training as a gymnastics coach.

- Passion for working in a collaborative and supportive environment - contributing to our existing curriculum and willingness to work cohesively in meetings with other faculty members to ensure quality and consistency in class structure and technique.

- Genuine love for educating youth.

- Creation of a Dynamic and Focused Class Environment - ability and desire to promote a safe, creative, accepting studio classroom that offers age-appropriate challenges to build training and build-up the individual students' confidence and appreciation for gymnastics.

- Life Long Learner - willingness to always evolve as an educator, contribute your expertise and openness to consider new ways to enhance your approach.

- Excellent Communication - commitment to maintaining excellent communication with CEO and owner, and TumbleSpot Faculty and Staff. We are a team and all aim to be on the same page about what is going on with our classes, students, families, and successes/challenges.

- Availability to work 2 - 4 days per week, including private lessons and/or special events and parties on the weekends.
