PAY: $25 – $40 per hour (based on experience)
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
LOCATION: In-home position (Millbrae, CA - Near Cappuccino HS)
ABOUT US
We are a homeschooling family with four children (ages 1, 3, 5, and 8). This school year, we will be focusing on homeschooling our two oldest children. We have a complete curriculum prepared and are looking for someone with prior teaching or tutoring experience to help guide and support their learning.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a kind, patient, and experienced tutor to assist with our homeschool afternoons. The role involves providing direct instruction in core subjects and supporting our prepared lesson plans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach Math, English Reading, and English Writing to two elementary-aged children.
- Follow and adapt our prepared curriculum to engage the students and reinforce learning.
- (Bonus) Teach Chinese reading and writing if capable.
- Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement to foster a love for learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents about progress and needs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must speak Cantonese.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience (classroom or private).
- Ability to work with elementary-aged children in a home environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Patient and enthusiastic about education.
COMPENSATION & HOURS
- $25–$40/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
- Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM.
