Marin Catholic currently has an opening for a full-time Academic Support Center (ASC) Instructor & Writing Program Coordinator.

Position Summary
Marin Catholic is seeking an experienced and organized ASC Instructor and Writing Program Coordinator to join the ASC team. The ASC Instructor will provide individualized support in all subjects, but especially in developing writing skills for all academic disciplines. This position also provides support to the ASC in regards to interdisciplinary plan coordination.
The ASC Instructor and Writing Program Coordinator will;
Teach & Mentor
Manage a weekly Writing Studio program with individualized support
Lead for at lead one section of instruction, and as needed
Work with students on technology, note-taking and organization
Support Junior students
Provide regular meetings
Coordinate student accommodations with the College Board & ACT
Coordinate
Maintain electronic and hard copy confidential parent and student records
Work with the Director of Technology on ASC needs
Communicate college admissions processes to parents of Junior students
Coordinate Test Calendar for students and faculty
Maintain ASC tech inventory
Attend & Proctor
ASC Department meetings
Weekly Interdisciplinary staffings
Proctor extended time tests, tracking time use
Support the ASC Professional Development
Lead Professional Development of writing support for the ASC
Produce
Quarterly e-publication for ASC parents and community
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in English, Secondary Education, Special Education, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Practicing Catholic in good standing, preferred.
Demonstrated experience (2-3 years, preferred) teaching English, writing, and study skills to students with learning differences.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Passion for education and a desire to uphold the mission and values of Marin Catholic.
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 commensurate with education and experience. Full time employees are eligible for benefits including health and dental insurance, medical and dependent care flex plan, Archdiocesan pension, and a 403b.
