Job Description:
Produce Company is looking for a full-time, experienced Operations Manager. As a Fresh Produce Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the punctual and efficient delivery of our top-tier produce offerings to our valued customers. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing all facets of our operations while providing essential support to our sales and customer service units.
Role and Responsibilities:
Supervise expenditures, manage capital purchases, and uphold budgetary compliance.
Assess and implement systems to facilitate scalability.
Directly oversee warehouse personnel, offering guidance and mentorship.
Cultivate and oversee supplier relationships, negotiate for materials and services.
Contribute to and execute strategic initiatives.
Devise and implement top-notch processes for daily warehouse activities.
Manage risk, recalls, and HACCP implementation.
Create and maintain inventory strategies, ensuring traceability and integrity.
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Uphold warehouse safety and security protocols.
Act as a principled representative of the company in all interactions.
Safeguard company information and resources.
Qualifications:
Proficient in organizational and time management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Solid grasp of transportation and logistics.
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the fresh produce sector.
Possesses strategic, creative thinking capabilities with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exemplary customer service skills with both customers and suppliers
In-depth knowledge of the Grower/Shipper side of the industry.
Strong familiarity with Warehouse HR Laws and Safety compliance.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus).
Proficient in Word, Excel, and Google platforms.
Proficiency in Produce Pro Software is mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $80,000.00 per year
