Successful, well-established CPA firm seeks motivated candidate with 5-7 years experience. This job is for a full-time employee with the possibility of part-time in the summer if interested in a reduced schedule. Start date is flexible, but our goal is January 1. Extended hours during tax seasons, but flexibility as to how and when you do your work.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preparation of complex as well as simpler tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership and fiduciary).
Involvement with all aspects of our professional services process, from the intake, client meetings, and preparation.
Conduct research on various tax issues.
Demonstrated ability leads to more client account responsibilities and promotion potential.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of current tax experience.
Ability to think outside the box with good analytical and problem solving skills.
Articulate in both your writing and your conversation.
Proficiency required in Microsoft Excel, Word and QuickBooks.
Knowledge of Ultra Tax, tax preparation software preferred.
Experience representing clients before Federal and CA agencies is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
100% fully remote or option to come into the office 2 days per week.
COMPENSATION
Pay: Around $115,000.00 depending on qualifications and location

Location: Ideal would be close enough to San Rafael to occasionally travel to office. If not local to SR, then prefer Pacific Time Zone, but if not must be able to spend working hours with sufficient overlap, such as between 7-7pm Pacific and must regularly cover core business hours between 10-3pm Pacific.
Job Type: Full-time but could be full time in Spring and Fall and part time in Summer and Winter
