Role: Part-Time Senior Bookkeeper
We are an established retail boutique seeking a part-time onsite Senior Bookkeeper to assist with our accounting needs. We employ an outside Auditor and Business Advisor who are available to assist with training and development. Complexity of the role is flexible, dependent upon experience, for the right candidate.
We are a small team so, although your main role will be Senior Bookkeeper, your assistance will be required for opening and closing the boutique.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with Bookkeeper to ensure that all accounting responsibilities are being completed accurately and in a timely manner;
Regular communication with business owner and managers to determine highest priority projects, pivoting when necessary to achieve business objectives;
Auditing of AP & AR work for accuracy and completeness;
Payroll and benefits administration;
Reconciliations: Bank, credit card, merchant account, and vendors;
End of month closing;
End of year closing;
Be flexible about responsibilities and willing to assist with Bookkeeper duties during high volume times of year;
Reporting (routine and ad-hoc) including P&L, Balance Sheet, Monthly & Annual Sales;
Budget preparation and monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting;
Sales & Use Tax filings;
Annual preparation and filing of 1099’s;
Business registration filings such as annual list of managing members, corporate minutes, business license, US Census Bureau submissions, and FBN;
Work with CPA and Business Advisor to prepare annual corporate tax filings;
Special projects as assigned; and
General assistance including answering phones, data entry, filing, assisting with opening and closing responsibilities of the boutique.

Education and Experience:
An associate degree in business, accounting or equivalent work experience required;
Expert ability with QuickBooks (Desktop & Enterprise) and Excel spreadsheets;
Proficient in both Mac & PC platforms; and
Some experience with computer security, light IT and software interplay preferred.

Schedule: Part-Time
Availability: Days, evenings, and Saturdays
Classification:Hourly, non-exempt (overtime eligible)
Scheduled Hours: 20-30 per week
Hourly Rate: $35-$48 per hour
