Under the supervision of ATD Systems Manager, the ATDEngineer is responsible for performing a wide variety of ATD developmenttasks, including but not limited to design, documentation, systemchecks, and validation. Responsibilities and Duties include but are notlimited to:
- Design mechanical kits for integration of DAS into ATDs and create and release drawings.
- Design and maintain wiring harness drawings.
- Create and edit ATD integration user manuals.
- Confirm and document sensor wiring schematics and communicate to operations team.
- Install DAS and sensors into ATDs.
- Organize and validate sensor information and create sensor database.
- Perform full ATD system checks and diagnostics and prepare validation reports.
- Collate and verify calibration and certification reports.
- Develop and perform ATD certification tests including DIAdem scripting and report generation.
- Perform test data analysis to lead design and determine repeatability and reproducibility.
- Provide technical support and training for customers and DTS field offices.
- Work with DTS Engineering on R&D projects as required.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be necessary.
- Bachelor?s degree in Science or Engineering and previous of experience in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
- Previous experience with ATDs or related impact biomechanics laboratory testing necessary. 2+ experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working with Autodesk Inventor or equivalent CAD system is necessary.
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed drawings, schematics and diagrams is necessary.
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly and soldering is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to appropriately address and document details, meet deadlines, and work with other departments in a professional, diplomatic manner is necessary.
- Demonstrated proficiency using various computer programs: Windows 7/8/10, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) & DIAdem.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a wide variety of audiences is necessary.
- Strong analytical, reasoning, inter-personal communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills are necessary.
