In Santa Monica, a growing health technology platform is hiring an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join their engineering team. You will build new security initiatives and practices with an automation-first mindset. This engineer will also have the opportunity to build security features into their data platform to ensure security of all of the products involved. The ideal candidate will have an Infrastructure/Engineering background and have a strong knowledge of Cloud and Application Security. This engineer will monitor application performance and lead 3rd party penetration tests and incident response trainings. This engineer will also automate the provisioning and scaling of the entire platform while evaluating risk assessment results. Required Skills & Experience
- 7-10+ years of relevant application security experience
- Prior experience implementing security earlier in development lifecycles
- Previous experience in automation or a devops capacity
- Ability to develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Knowledge of public cloud technologies - Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Solid experience with Linux and Ruby on Rails applications
- Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
