We're seeking a Maintenance Worker to join one of our clients in Santa Maria, California! This is a temporary position lasting approximately one month, with a schedule of 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, and a pay range of $20 to $25 an hour based on experience. Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the property and monitoring progress and workflow of projects assigned to the maintenance department.
Ensure competitive pricing of services used for turnover and contract services and creating a sound relationship with vendors and contractors.
Diagnose problems and repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pools, carpentry dry wall, exterior structural and appliances.
Inspect apartments before and after move in and move out.
Conducts pre-move out inspections and completes all supporting documents
Performs preventative maintenance inspections as well as apartment turnover schedules.
Responds to resident maintenance concerns in a timely manner.
Ensures common areas are inspected daily and items needing attention are addressed.
Inspects all property grounds to ensure cleanliness and safety.
Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of 2 years property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade is required.
Ability to perform carpentry, electrical, appliance, HVAC, and plumbing repairs.
Must be able to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints and maintain the highest level of customer service.
Must comply with all relevant safety regulations.
