DescriptionJoin the team that shapes the future of selling on Amazon experience through defining the design systems, ensuring the Amazon offers highly consistent, intuitive, and engaging web and mobile experiences for selling partners globally.As a Principal UX Designer, you will set the vision for the design systems and best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional, cross-organizational stakeholders to deliver design concepts, build rapid prototypes, provide consultation expertise for other designers who leverage the design systems. You will work on scalable solutions that balance business goals, technology considerations, and user needs, ensuring consistency, innovation, and quality across every touch point. You will also be responsible for driving the design direction for key programs and lead high-impact projects, ensuring that software builders have the tools, design systems, and guidance they need to work quickly with confidence.Key job responsibilities
Driving Design System Excellence: Lead the Design Systems to create and maintain scalable, reusable components that support a broad set of teams and experiences across the organization.
Strategic Design Leadership: Lead the design direction for large-scale programs, balancing business needs with user-centered design principles.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, program, software development across organization.
Prototyping and Experimentation: Experiment and prototype rapidly in a fast-paced environment to validate design concepts.
Basic Qualifications
10+ years of design experience
Have an available online portfolio
Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design
Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data
Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure, Keynote, and InVision

The base pay for this position ranges from $147,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market.
