The order fulfillment (OF) process specialist is responsible for continuously driving efficiency of the overall order fulfillment lifecycle. They will build productive, collaborative relationships within Order Fulfillment Operations and internal cross-functional groups and interact with external customers to streamline and improve the existing order-to-cash processes.

The OF process specialist will need to develop an in-depth understanding of the order fulfillment business and use that knowledge to act as a policy and procedure steward, drive automation and process optimization, and act as a key backup in processing orders as needed in times of high demand.

Your Impact:

End-to-End order lifecycle management

  • Support the director of order fulfillment in implementing strategies and objectives to drive continuous improvement and process efficiencies

  • Develop a thorough understanding of all end-to-end order to cash processes

  • Act as a subject matter expert for all order fulfillment related tasks

  • Aid in driving efficiency in a number of newly created business segments including 3PL, consumer business, channel transformation initiatives and any future acquisitions made by PANW

Order automation and process optimization

  • Develop and implement tools and processes ensuring order fulfillment processes accurate, timely and compliant transactions

  • Aid in driving touchless order processing utilizing optical character recognition & robotic process automation

  • Work with IT and fulfillment systems teams to create, prioritize and drive order booking enhancements

  • Quantify and demonstrate clearly the effectivity of ongoing efficiency improvement efforts

Interaction with cross-functional teams

  • Engage with distributors to improve order quality and reduce pushbacks

  • Work closely with internal groups to identify and execute on efficiency gains

  • Collaborate with our contract manufacturer (CM) to further establish standard operating procedures

Policy and procedure documentation steward

  • Create and maintain process documentation for order fulfillment policies and procedures

  • Primary OF team resource to support, operationalize and document new company initiatives and direction including systems, offerings, business models, etc.

Order processing backup

  • Assist the order fulfillment team during high order volume periods by processing hardware, software and support purchase orders using SAP in an accurate and timely manner

  • Effectively use a case management tool to process inquiries and manual orders as needed

  • Actively manage backlog and resolve any order related discrepancies

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates will have a broad background in Operations, Customer Service, Order Fulfillment/Management, and back-end Supply Chain. (Includes understanding CM model)

  • Should have a high degree of self-awareness and professional maturity

  • Intuitive understanding with Business Systems / ERP modules as they pertain to Operations functions.

  • Practical thinking and long-range planning. A quick and thorough thinker who exhibits common sense and the ability to problem solve in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

  • Highly skilled communicator (written and oral) with the ability and confidence to interact with various departments and all levels of individuals

  • Experience with Excel, Visio and Google Suite is preferred

  • SAP experience is a must

  • SFDC and Service Now queue management is a plus

  • Team-oriented, with proven ability to work cross-functionally

  • Proven self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative

  • Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

  • Understanding of basic revenue recognition principles

  • Experience with Backlog Management

  • Ability to hold oneself and others accountable and keep initiatives on track

  • Proactive approach in seeking resolutions and areas of improvement

  • Displays leadership capabilities
