Ablitt's Fine Cleaners and Tailors is seeking a reliable and customer-focused individual to join our team as a route driver for our home concierge service that provides door-to-door drop-off and pick-up service for many of Ablitt’s customers. You will be a key 'face' for the organization. This is a 40 hour/week position. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely and efficiently deliver and pick up client garments to and from residential addresses within designated areas. Secondary responsibilities will include assisting with day to day production needs in the plant, including the mark-in of items, etc. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our customers.

Minimum Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with local streets and neighborhoods.
- Basic knowledge of GPS devices and navigation apps.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and traffic laws.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations.
- Clean and neat appearance.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in home delivery or logistics.
- Familiarity with electronic signature devices and delivery tracking systems.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish a plus
- Basic maintenance skills for minor vehicle repairs.
- Expectations/Duties:
- Deliver and pick up all scheduled deliveries and will-calls on a daily basis
- Mark-in orders when arriving at the plant
- Run manifest for AM and PM Delivery.
- Maintain customer list in POS – stop order, frequency, will call vs scheduled
- Call all new customer sign ups with in 24 hours – the sooner the better
- Collect and recycle packaging for customers on a daily basis
- Sign thank you notes after 1st delivery
- Check voicemail/email/text hourly
- Return client calls immediately
- Maintain repair logs and regular maintenance on van
- Keep van clean and well stocked – vans will be washed a minimum of 2 times a week
- Keep vehicles fueled
- Sort and count hangers a minimum of 2X daily (line up rack)
- Scan clothes 1) onto rack 2) onto van
- Keep voicemail up do date
- Resolve all customer issues in a timely manner
- Occasional assistance of floor/production duties as needed and when time allows.
