We are currently seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Santa Barbara County area, to include Santa Barbara, Goleta & Buellton. A local commercial maintenance company is seeking a part-time maintenance technician to perform basic maintenance and improvements on commercial buildings. The qualified technician will interact with other maintenance technicians, vendors, property managers, tenants and office staff. Basic knowledge of building maintenance and handyman skills are preferred. We are an established maintenance company serving the Santa Barbara area for 20+ years, and pride ourselves on providing excellent service.
Skills, Qualifications & Attributes:
- 2-5 or more years related maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to work and complete tasks by themselves with minimal supervision
- Basic understanding of building and property maintenance
- Capability to complete work orders and inspection reports in a timely manner
- Ability to use mobile software (Appfolio) for tracking hours and receipts for jobs completed (imperative)
- Clean and professional appearance
- Basic knowledge of power tools
- Problem solving skills
- Adapt and follow directions well
- Good communication skills including phone, email and text
- Friendly customer service and etiquette
- Must be accountable for time worked and log hours daily on mobile payroll software
- Vehicle is mandatory, truck and tools are a plus
Duties:
- Painting
- Light carpentry
- Plumbing & heating
- Electrical
- Landscaping
- Drywall installation
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems identifying any issues
- Monthly lighting inspections
- Maintenance and cleanup of trash areas, building exteriors
- Travel to multiple job locations located in downtown Santa Barbara (gas allowance provided)
