Aerotek is hiring Aerospace Manufacturing Technicians to support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of critical flight hardware and prototype aerospace components.
This role requires expertise in electro-mechanical assembly, blueprint and schematic reading, and troubleshooting. Candidates should have experience working with hand tools, power tools, and electrical and mechanical manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble, and validate critical flight hardware, including mechanical and electrical components
Assist engineers in prototype hardware manufacturing, infrastructure development, and testing
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and flight drawings to ensure precise assembly
Perform troubleshooting and testing of electrical and mechanical systems
Identify and communicate non-conformances to engineering and quality teams
Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Work with manufacturing and facilities teams to optimize processes and ensure production efficiency
Follow detailed process instructions and quality assurance protocols
Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in aerospace, mechanical assembly, or electro-mechanical manufacturing
Ability to read and work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and mechanical components
Experience with hand tools, crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power tools, and air tools
Familiarity with soldering, harnessing, and crimping (J-STD or NASA certifications preferred)
Knowledge of adhesives, chemical cleaners, and coatings used in aerospace manufacturing
Experience with electrical and non-electrical manufacturing equipment
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
