Full and part-time positions for both Veterinary Assistants and Registered Veterinary Technicians are available.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the well-being of our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with animal handling, providing basic nursing care, maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, and offering exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
Prepare and clean treatment areas, surgical suites, and equipment
Provide basic nursing care, such as administering medications and wound care
Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatments
Perform laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures
Educate clients on pet care and medications as directed by veterinarians
Maintain accurate medical records
Ensure the clinic is clean and well-organized
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or equivalent
Prior experience working in a veterinary clinic is preferred, but not required
Strong passion for animal care and well-being
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills
Willingness to learn and take direction
Reliable and punctual
