The line cook position follows the guidance of the lead chef regarding food preparation, execution, and cleaning while following all state food safety guidelines.
The Foodrunner/dishwasher role requires a friendly individual to deliver food to our guests in a timely manner while maintaining our dish area. Our foodrunner/dishwasher will also aid in communication between the FOH and BOH for seamless service.
Funkzone Openings:
Dishwasher/food runner: Weekends night time (Sat 5pm-10:30pm, Sun 4pm-9:30pm) Potential for more hours
Linecook: Day time hours (weekends required for brunch service)
Uptown Openings:
Dishwasher/food runner: (Sat 5pm-10:30, Sun 10 am-4pm & 4pm-9) Potential for more hours
Linecooks Daytime Fri-Sunday (10am-4pm)
Qualifications and responsibilities:
Minimum 3 year cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
Ability to learn our detailed menu and continually cook our food to the expected standard
Ability to execute new specials each shift or cook an alternative menu
Ability to complete the necessary food preparation on shift
Ability to follow the leadership of the lead Chef
Food Safety Certification and ability to maintain protocols
Ability to maintain the daily and weekly cleaning schedule
Be on time and keep a clean appearance
Ability to stand, cook, and hustle for demanding 6 hour periods of time
Partial English for communication with the front of house
