Reports To: General Manager / Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Cashier is responsible for managing the payment process for guests, ensuring accurate transactions and providing excellent guest service. This role involves handling cash, credit card transactions, and assisting guests with inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service:

Greet guests warmly as they arrive and assist them with their payment process.

Address any questions or concerns regarding the menu, specials, and payment options.

Transaction Management:

Accurately process cash and credit card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

Issue receipts and manage cash drawers, ensuring accuracy at the beginning and end of each shift.

Order Management:

Coordinate with kitchen staff to confirm orders and address any special requests or modifications.

Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient front-of-house flow.

Cleanliness and Organization:

Keep the cashier area clean and organized, ensuring supplies are stocked and accessible.

Assist in cleaning duties in the dining area as needed.

Reporting and Compliance:

Follow all cash handling procedures and adhere to restaurant policies.

Prepare daily cash reports and notify management of any discrepancies.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; food safety certification is a plus.
