We are seeking a detail-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of our deli department, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Deli employee's will also make tips on top of hourly pay.
Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products such as meats, cheeses, sandwiches, and salads
- Operate deli equipment including slicers
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area
- Assist customers in selecting products and provide information on ingredients and pricing
- Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
- Receive and stock deli inventory
- Follow food safety guidelines and ensure proper storage of products
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a deli or food service environment preferred but not needed. We can train.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portions
